I would
buy this right away if it were available.
Three of
my friends are having babies this fall. I only wish I could give this book to all of them
before they make final decisions on naming their kids.
I don't
know of any other baby name book that has emotional data, and I've gone through dozens and
dozens over the years. I think this one will be unique!
The other
"emotional power tools" are very good, but I wish you success with the
baby-naming product especially.
Would make
an excellent gift!
Exceptional!
Highly useful! Please when is it available, the above price is what I would expect if
found in a store, but I would personally pay more. Question: Does it also include surnames
as well??? Please (Pleading)
If I found
this in my obstetrician's office, I'd "borrow" it! At least until I could find a
copy for myself...
I have
several baby name books but none of them have "emotional" information, so I will
buy this one when it comes out.
Baby
shower gift.
... sounds
wonderful for the writer, parents, and general public.
It will be
interesting to compare boy-girl differences for the same name, like Robin, Kelly,
Terry/Terri
A good
idea for people having babies - Needs specific marketing compared to the other products.
I don't
have kids yet but when I start a family I'll remember this.
A valuable
reference for any home library.
I think
this has a more limited size demographic group but nevertheless one that is definitely a
"buying" group; and it is a never-ending market, presumably... so it is useful
and commercially viable.
Most
fascinating, dying to know how my own name "feels".
Even if
you aren't naming kids, this would be most interesting. Everyone wants to know what their
own name means to others.
Good idea!
I named my child after a word in the dictionary: Elan, meaning bright, vigorous.
My parents
could have used this tool when they named me!
If the
emotions surrounding a name were not important, then why would so many actors and singers
change their names to "better" names? Its how people feel about your name
that counts, you have hit the nail on the head with this one
Yes!
Lets have this now!
You want
to know how useful? You'll put all those dumb baby name books out of business and that's a
good thing.
An
outstanding concept, much better than obscure meanings in baby name books.
Especially
useful for fiction writers
It
potentially has a lot of use to general consumers
You know,
Ive been thinking about changing my own name because Ive never liked it. Now I
think Ill wait till this product is out on the market as I think it would help
remove some of the uncertainty Ive had about names Im considering.
Good for
parents of infants, and novelists writing character-rich stories
I think
the best of the offered titles is "Connotative Character Namer"
Perfect
for short stories
Wish we'd
had this before we named our kids
Good for
naming babies or characters.
As naming
characters is very difficult for me, I think this would be of great help, especially in
romance novels where the emotional feeling of the character is reflected in the name.
Kinda
neat.
Emotional
ID
Although I
already have my childrens names picked out, it would be interesting to find out what
they mean, and how their personalities form around their name
Cute
I liked
the Emily example
When you
write a character, you cant convince your audience if the name just does not fit the
personality. I would find a great deal of use for this tool.
An
effective tool for dealing with characters in a variety of contexts
Good for
couples naming their babies...
Inclusion
of abstract names would make this exceptionally useful.
A good
"coffee_table" book for newlyweds who might have children. Will it have names
such as "Keeshaun" (also spelled for the other gender: "Keyshawn")?
I'd add
this to my collection of baby name books.
An on-line
version would come in very handy, just visit the web site and look up the emotions for any
name.
Novelists
name characters to evoke emotions. I think one could use this as a kind of short cut
without compromising the intent.
