Emotional Thesaurus, Question 4

"Do you have any suggestions or comments on the Emotional Thesaurus?" (selected anonymous responses)

Your lab ought to get the Nobel Prize for this. What an astounding achievement. How in heaven's name did you figure it out?
It's about time someone came up with this resource -- Bravo! (and, I wish I had thought of it first!)
A brilliant tool for writers, more useful than dictionary or thesaurus because it opens the door to so many creative possibilities.
Connonyms - this is THE coolest thing I've come across, and I've had many years of writing courses and workshops.
I think this reference could become a standard!
Sounds indispensable to me.
Extremely useful if the software version is totally searchable
Microsoft Word should have this, they already have a normal thesaurus
I can see getting new symbols and metaphors without frying my brain
Could this one be sold together with the connotative dictionary, with a price break? I would prefer this because I'd want both.
I would love it and use it all the time
Very good. I would definitely use this tool.
This sounds even more useful for writing.
Lets hope they don't end up charging $100. That would be a shame because lots of people would like to use these tools and this one in particular.
Its exactly what I've been looking for to expand my creative abilities in evoking emotional responses to carefully chosen words. I have been having problems coming up with the perfect word combos. I definitely will own one of these!
The Emotional Thesaurus goes into more depth and gives you more avenues for word searches. It is an exciting find for me.
If you can really do this - WOW!
This would be a perfect tool for writers, be they beginners or professionals.
Fascinating -- the graphics are critical.
This may take some getting used to but again...it is useful. VW Beetle = Pumpkin? Interesting.
Would be more likely to use this than the dictionary
Never heard of anything like this but can see the value & would buy it regardless of book or electronic form. Endless uses for it.
Good thinking, keep on it.
I think this would be a very useful tool.
This I would use a lot. Emotional images are of great importance. I wonder though, how much I would agree with other's definitions (?). But a great guide!!!!
I'd use this all the time but wouldn't want my teacher to know! She'd think I'm a poetic genius!
Fascinating concept. Don't know how you could get "connonyms" out of the language. This I gotta see....
I also would consider purchasing a CD-Rom
Would there be separate editions produced for different cultures (eg US/UK)? [Editor's reply: Yes, definitely.]
Make it downloadable
This would be a great tool, but consider those whose financial situation is tedious.
Very interesting!
This would be very useful to advertising people
I'd buy this before I would buy the dictionary. Is this to come out soon?
As with the Emotional Dictionary this would work if the words were identified in origin.
Interesting, but strange!
I'd be interested if it were part of a package deal. Or if I browsed through it some more and was intrigued. And as the direction of my creative nonfiction writing develops - may find I would benefit from it.
Well done!! When & where can I buy it?
I hope this becomes a standard reference for use in the schools and in college.
Will your site accept Visa or MasterCard when you have it available?
This is what writing is all about.
Although I prefer books, this would perhaps be just as useful as a software program provided it had extensive search functions.
I've never seen anything like this!
Change the name....Connotative Thesaurus.
More useful than an emotional dictionary.
Impressive. (if it can be done accurately)
This should be COMBINED with the dictionary. Especially when published in electronic format. The thesaurus and the dictionary are two sides of THE SAME COIN. I wouldn't think to separate these.
The exact meaning of each synonym should be easily retrievable or better yet available right away at the first search of the word; the proper usage clearly spelled out, and the degrees of emotions ranked.
This would also be so great for Advertisers use. Classroom use.
I wanna use it on this freakin' site!!!
